You've got tickets for the Apollo. The lights go down at 8pm. The question is the same one Hammersmith locals have been answering for years: where do you eat first?
The pre-show problem
Concert nights are tight. You want a real meal, not a chain plate, but you also want to be in your seat before the lights drop. Most venues solve one of those problems. Mr Steak Hammersmith, a short walk from the Apollo, solves both.
Built for show timing
Tell the team you've got an Apollo show. They've done it hundreds of times. The kitchen paces your courses to the start of the gig. Starters arrive quickly, mains are timed, and dessert can travel home with you (or wait for you afterwards). You eat properly, you don't sprint.
What works pre-show
The £20 Steak & Fries with a soft drink (Mon–Thu) is built for nights like this: quick, satisfying, and you walk out lighter on time and on the bill. If you want something more theatrical, the “Trust Me, It's Gold” fillet is a 15-minute show in itself: golden, glossy, and the photo of the night before the show even starts.
After the encore
Apollo finishes around 22:30 most nights. Mr Steak's kitchen runs late on Thursdays (22:30) and Fridays/Saturdays (23:00). Perfect for a post-show dessert and a glass of Malbec while you decompress. Tiramisu, churros, and a strong espresso are waiting.
